She was based at Lyttelton; she was minesweeping there and keeping the fairways clear for shipping up and down the coast. One trip would go north as far as Motunau Island and sweep up and back then you would cruise right down North Akaroa Heads at night and then sweep back to Lyttelton. You would be out for probably two or three days, back for one day and then back out again.
