You may be at school working on your history or art assessments, or perhaps you are completing a course in tertiary education.  Whichever stage in your education you are at, we would welcome your requests for support or tuition.

What subject areas/topics can I use the museum to explore?

The museum will be happy to support you in your learning or training where we can.  Please contact us with your individual requests. The range of help we may be able to provide you with includes specific historical topics, social or cultural based studies, visual or performance art works, research tasks or skills and presentation skills. We are happy to assess your requirements and  work with you to put a plan or project scheme together.

What will I gain as a pupil/student from visiting the museum?

You will have professional, quality assured support for your study by specialist staff, along with access to our  extensive variety of resources. We may also be able to liaise with your school or training tutor to ensure we can tailor our package to what is required by your specific learning needs.  If you have an idea or project in mind it is best to contact us to talk over what we may be able to provide in advance of any deadlines you may have.  

How will my learning be supported?

Support may be through some of the following: individual tuition, group workshops, research materials, education packs, handouts, off site visits to related historical sites or signposting to other organisations and people.

How much will it cost me ?

Your education services by the Museum are provided FREE OF CHARGE, we only ask that you give us advance notice of your needs and that if you make a commitment to visit or meet with us, you give reasonable notice if you can’t make it, or no longer need our help on a piece of work we are doing with you.
